Here is an example of one of our collages.

Some of our products: GIANT Accordion Books

This is a GIANT accordion book. It holds more images, but it still folds up to fit in your purse.

Aren't these cute! We were so excited to find these small cubes from one of our vendors!

Quick facebook tip: If you're like me, you tend to follow every link to an article or photo album while "just checking facebook". I have found that each click leads me to another click, and soon an hour has disappeared from my day. Here's a simple way to stay on task:

When you come to an interesting article or photo album (something that will take more than a few seconds to finish), RIGHT-click it and choose "Open link in new tab". Then continue about your business on facebook. When you are finished browsing your friends' status updates, you will likely have several new windows across the top of your facebook window. Look at each one quickly to decide whether to spend time with them now or bookmark them for later use. (I usually look at the albums now and save some of the articles for later.)

Then go do something fun! (there's this thing called "outside", you may have heard of it)

How can we look our best in our portraits?

That's a great question! We like for our clients to dress comfortably and in clothes that accentuate their personalities. Having said that, though, I'd like to share some helpful tips that we've picked up along the way.

1. Choose your shirt carefully. A V-neckline can elongate the neck for a slimmer appearance while a round neckline can accentuate a round face. Long sleeves simplify a picture and bring most of the attention to your face. Short sleeves often accentuate the widest part of the arm.

2. Pay attention to your fingernails. Your hands WILL show in many pictures, so make sure that you have clean and well-manicured hands. A natural nail color or clear polish looks best, as dark polish can shorten the look of the fingers.

3. Make sure your clothes are all clean and wrinkle-free. You don't want to immortalize your mustard stain or wrinkly jacket. Wrinkles are virtually impossible to edit out of an image.

4. Dark colors conceal and light colors reveal. If, for example, you are self-conscious about your hips appearing wide, you might consider wearing dark pants with a lighter colored top (rather than a black shirt and khakis).

5. Wear clothes that fit well. Clothes that are too tight might reveal more than you intended, but baggy clothes imply that the person wearing them fills them up. Also, you don't want to worry about having to fix your clothes after every picture.

6. Get some rest. When you're tired, you don't feel your best, and that shows in your images. When you are well-rested, you can expect more vibrant skin and less prominent under-eye circles.

7. Go with the flow. You might have an idea of how your photoshoot will go, but so does everyone else. When everyone works together with the photographer, it can make for a great image. But, if you grumble about every idea that didn't originate from your brain, people stop having fun and the pictures suffer.

This is by NO means an exhaustive list. This is what popped into my brain today. What tips do you have for looking your best?
